Tuesday 10 October marks world mental health day. Mental health wellbeing is something that is close to our heart as a business and we are passionate about improving the way this is dealt with across our industry.
Did you know? *
These devastating statistics have a huge impact on our industry – how we deal with stress needs to be re-evaluated and we need to look to technology as a means of alleviating pressures within the sector. At RSE Technologies, this is something we are dedicated to influencing. Through the use of innovative solutions, including Point Cloud Scanning, as well as a values led approach to business, we are putting the mental health wellbeing of staff, clients and suppliers at the forefront of our business.
Our Founder, Russell Stilwell recently shared his story about his struggle with mental health and how this personal battle has inspired him to make a change. Like many, he has faced immense pressure both in his business and personal life. As a result, Russell has realised that as an industry, we go to great lengths to assess and mitigate risks that are caused by hazards that exist on site. But very little focus is placed on mitigating the risks associated with mental health. Therefore, he is committed to making the construction industry even greater.
This World Mental Health Day, we are encouraging you to do the same and help to improve others’ wellbeing. Sometimes, all that it takes is to ask a colleague how they are and giving them the chance to open about their feelings. It may only seem like a small gesture, but to that person, it could save their life.
RSE Technologies is a Mates in Mind champion business and we are proud to support this charity in its efforts to raise awareness, address the stigma of poor mental health and improve mental health wellbeing in the UK construction industry. Our mission mirrors that of the charity and we are encouraging other businesses to join us.
Why not do something different on Tuesday 10 October to make a stand, help increase awareness of mental health wellbeing and raise much needed funds for Mates in Mind. Whether this be a dress down day in the office, an auction or even a bake sale, any support will make a huge difference.
